About
JewishEastside.com is a blog and podcast site sponsored by the Eastside Torah Center (ETC) in Belleuve, Washington. Our goal is to “build Israel in Bellevue and the Eastside” by coming together as a community for learning and support of each other.
Here is what you can expect to see on the blog:
- Our blogger-in-chief and executive editor, Mrs. Rochie Farkash, will blog on topics related to the joys of “living a Torah life” every day, every week on the Eastside, from food to family to mikva.
- Rabbi Mordechai Farkasha’s Weekly Parshah Class held at ETC will be audio recorded and posted as a streaming and downloadable mp3 Podcast.
- Rabbi Sholom Elishevitz‘ classes, such as his current class on Tanya, will also be audio recorded and posted as a streaming and downloadable mpp3 Podcast.
- Other members of the Eastside Torah Center and the Eastside Jewish community will be “featured bloggers” and “guest bloggers,” discussing their own Jewish journeys, decision points, family traditions and insights about how Judaism and Torah has impacted and enriched their lives.
If you are on the Eastside and would you like to contribute a post, essay, recipe, book review or D’var, contact the JewishEastside.com webmaster through the Write for This Blog webpage to learn about the editorial guidelines. We would like to include you!
Your suggestions are always valued, and your Comments on the Posts are encouraged (Only one rule on Comments: be positive and constructive).
